About Me

I am Igor Tomasevic, Full Professor of Food Science and Technology at Faculty of Agriculture / University of Belgrade (Serbia), Guest Professor at University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland), University of East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Universita degli studi di Bari – Aldo Moro (Italy).

I have graduated and obtained my PhD title at University of Belgrade. My post-doctoral professional training took place at Texas AM University (USA), University of Jerusalem (ISR), University of Ghent (BEL), IRTA – Monels, Girona and University of Valencia (ESP). In 2022/23 I was a guest Research Associate at German Institute for Food Technology (DIL).

I have supervised 11 PhD thesis at University of Belgrade, 1 at University of Hohenheim (Germany) and served as a PhD thesis external evaluator for foreign universities including: Universidad de Oviedo (3) Spain, Università degli Studi di Milano Statale (1) Italy, Universität Hohenheim (1) Germany and University of Melbourne (1) Australia.

So far, I have coauthored 200+ papers in journals included in the ISI Web of Knowledge, SCOPUS & Google Scholar (7.000+ citations; h-index=47). For the last 3 years (2022,2023,2024) I have been listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists database by the Stanford University.
